Once in a while you may want to do a clean install of macOS High Sierra, or you have multiple Macs to install it on, then a bootable flash drive for is your best bet for easy installation.

After upgrading to macOS Sierra I suddenly couldn’t use git. A simple git clone [repo] would give me an nice error like: xcrun: error: invalid active developer path (/Library/Developer/CommandLineTools), missing xcrun at: /Library/Developer/CommandLineTools/usr/bin/xcrun It appears that I need to reinstall xcode, so execute; xcode-select –install
